About Us
Common Ground Therapy Worker Cooperative is a democratic, community-focused therapy practice owned and run by its therapist members.
Making therapy more accessible, one co-op at a time.
What brings us together, cooperating as therapists, is a wish to make therapy more affordable and accessible for those who need it most.
We believe therapists provide higher quality therapy when they are fully responsible, empowered and fulfilled by shared ownership of where they work. The co-operative model is our way of making that a reality — for therapists and for the communities they serve.
Sociocracy. Consent. Democracy.
Common Ground Therapy is governed using Sociocracy — a consent-based governance system that ensures every member has an equal voice in all major decisions. No single person can impose a decision on the group; decisions are made when no one has a paramount objection.
We are registered with Workers.Coop and Co-operatives UK, and operate in accordance with the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) principles.
