Common Ground Therapy is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve our website accessibility to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

Accessibility Features

Our website includes:

Semantic HTML for proper document structure

High contrast text (7:1 WCAG AAA ratio)

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

Background images used as design elements are decorative and do not contain critical information
PDF documents on our site may have limited accessibility features
Our newsletter sign-up form on the News page is provided by a third-party service (Zoho Campaigns). We have added labels to its fields where we can, but its script may not meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of our site — the equivalent form in our site footer is fully under our control and accessible
In rare cases, body text overlaid on a photograph in a page banner may fall slightly short of our AAA contrast target against very light areas of the photo, though it always meets the AA standard

Third-Party Content

Embedded third-party content (such as maps, social media, or external resources) may have different accessibility standards than our site.

Standards and Guidelines

This website aims to comply with:

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, working towards Level AAA where practical
Equality Act 2010 and the Equality Act 2010 (Disability) Regulations 2010, which set out our duty as a service provider to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people

Common Ground Therapy is a private worker cooperative, not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not formally apply to us — but we hold ourselves to the same WCAG 2.1 AA standard those regulations require.
