For children, adolescents, and adults

Group Facilitation

Common Ground Therapy offers group facilitation for children, adolescents and adults across south-east London. This service is delivered by a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with specialist training in the underlying emotional dynamics which can shape group relating. This provision can be offered groups of children and adolescents or those adults who work with them.

Flexibility in format

There is flexibility around the format which can range from:

  • An unstructured group process approach
  • More structured therapeutic activities which are facilitated in a more hands-on way in order to cover particular points of psycho-education
  • Self-care skills development
  • Collaborative mutually-supported goal-based activities

Benefits of group-based work

Such group-based work provides valuable practice of cooperation and collaboration skills, but also offers ample opportunity for individuals to reflect upon how they operate in group settings, how they feel about that and what kinds of internal dynamics may be shaping their relation to this and wider groups.
